Research project SEAD (BRAIN-be program)
The main aim of the SEAD project is to assess the potential for sustainable work and employment in the digital age.
The main aim of the SEAD project is to assess the potential for sustainable work and employment in the digital age, identifying challenges, obstacles and opportunities in new and changing segments of the labour market.
More specifically, the SEAD project aims to study:
- developments in the structure of the Belgian labour market and the changing composition of professional tasks in recent decades;
- the processes and effects of professional changes linked to technological innovation on the Belgian labour market in terms of skill requirements, work content and job quality;
- the socio-demographic characteristics, economic profile, skill composition, work content, and working and employment conditions of people engaged in work on digital platforms;
- which organisational models optimise job quality in a context of technological innovation;
- the interrelation between technological innovation, "HR practices conducive to autonomy" and "management styles conducive to well-being" in order to promote sustainable employment.
