Course content
• General approach of Opera History • General approach of the Opera in its different components • The development of Opera as an art form, and analysis of representative Opera from various eras • Three sessions devoted to three different opera ; the students have the opportunity to attend the spectacles at the Monnaie Opera House in Brussels

• To get student used to the world of Opera and make them sensitive to the different artistic processes • To encourage them to explore less known Opera • To develop the faculty of analysing an Opera
