Course content
Introduction into scientific English. Discussion of the key aspects of each section of an scientific article. Introduction in the making of figures. Introduction into freely available software to process images, to assemble figures. Discussion of scientific misconduct and plagiarism.
Objectives (and/or specific learning outcomes)
The goal of scientific research is communication and publication of the results in form of research article and/or poster presentation at international conferences. Science communication typically, if not exclusively, is conducted in English. The goal of the course is to give an introduction to writing of scientific texts and into figure preparation.

Oral examen: preparation and presentation of a digital poster
Mark calculation method (including weighting of intermediary marks)
The final note takes into account the evaluations of the personal work (30%) and the oral exam (70%). A minimum of 10/20 credits are necessary to successfully complete the course.
