Course content
The Greek part is constituted of 12 lessons. In each lesson, there are grammatical points (morphology and syntax) as well as exercises and readings of texts.
The Latin part consists in a introduction to Latin (morphology and syntax), as well as the mastery of basic vocabulary and exercises.
Objectives (and/or specific learning outcomes)
The objectives are: to have a general view on the Greek grammar and to master a basic vocabulary (1000 words). At the end of the year, the students have to be able to understand and translate a text in classical Greek with the help of a dictionary and a grammar.
The course aims to give the students who have never studied Latin the basics and to make them capable to understand and translate a Latin text.
Teaching methods and learning activities
There is a theoretical part and exercises, during the course and at home.

To acquire basic knowledge in Greek and Latin.
