Course content
Study of the literature of a given period within its European context through reading and analysis of a choice of representative prose, poetry and dramatic texts.
Objectives (and/or specific learning outcomes)
Development of active knowledge of Dutch language and literature, of practical proficiency, of cultural insight as well as of aesthetic and critical judgment.
Prerequisites and Corequisites
Cours ayant celui-ci comme co-requis
Teaching methods and learning activities
Ex cathedra lectures in Dutch, mandatory reading assignments, individual conversations on the texts.
References, bibliography, and recommended reading
will be provided in class.
