Course content

Theory (historical and literary context, synthetic monograph of the authors studied) and seminar (in depth analysis of the studied works).

Objectives (and/or specific learning outcomes)

In-depth study of a particular movement, period, od a genre or a specific theme in German literature (romanticism, expressionism, turn of the century, Austrian Literature, Feminist Literature, precursors of Modernity,…)

Teaching methods and learning activities

Formal lecture accompanied by detailed analysis of representative works in seminars. Private Study (exhaustive reading of the works studied). Oral and written presentation + written essay. The course is given in German.
