- Understand how financial markets work
- Evaluate Financial Assets: Bonds, Stocks, Derivatives
- Understand the concepts of risk and return and their implications for portfolio management
- Justify financial decisions and communicate them to financial and non-financial management
- Apply these methods to real-life examples
- Develop a critical view of the knowledge related to finance.

This course contributes to the development of the following skills for economics students in Bachelor : - Fundamental concepts and tools in economics and management - Master the basic methodological tools for a scientific approach to economics and management - Leverage fundamental concepts and tools in economics and management to solve or analyze an economic problem - Identify data sources relevant to the problem at hand - Analyze a socio-economic problem through different disciplinary frameworks (social sciences, law and humanities - Demonstrate analytical rigor and work ethics - Display critical thinking by confronting the acquired knowledge to real-life situations - Develop an independent approach to learning
