Course content
Example-based application of the main methods of artwork-reading (iconology, sémiology, psychology of perception, ...). Study of old and modern texts on the subject of the reading of an artwork.
Objectives (and/or specific learning outcomes)
Acquisition of a vocabulary and of a set of rigourous concepts for the descriptive analysis of artworks (form and content); application of those concepts
Teaching methods and learning activities
The courses include oral exercices of analytic image description; study of texts.

The texts and illustrations analyzed in class will be accessible to the students on the Université virtuelle.
