Course content

Introduction to the origins of Flemish paintings in the 15th C. (14th C. : illuminated manuscripts and panels paintings). Rehabilitation of the Flemish Primitives in the 19th C. The Study of the main flemish painters from the 15th C. Their works are examined in a diachronic and comparative perspective. Identification of their artistic individuality based on a combined analysis of both style and technique.
