Course content
Part of M. Groenen : after an introduction devoted to present research outcome on the proposed theme, the lecture is oriented towards learning and criticizing the archaeological data, with an emphasis on methodology. Part of E. Warmenbol: introduction to the study of protohistorical material and its issues through the examination of original documents from excavations. Each student will be enthrusted with part of the material, and the teacher and students, at the end, "deliver" a common report, which, eventually, can be published.
Objectives (and/or specific learning outcomes)
Part of M. Groenen: to write a research work taking as a theme a present issue of prehistoric archaeology. Part of E. Warmenbol: make use of the previously acquired knowledge of the Bronze and Iron Age material of Western Europe in order to (re-)examine a site or a number of finds from Belgium and prepare it or them for publication.

Teaching methods and learning activities
Interactive seminar. Students might be asked for an oral presentation of their work and will submit a written summary of it.
