Course content
Analysis of previously unexplored archival sources; collective research; oral and written presentation of research results. Examples of previous seminars: judicial sources and the question of the punishment of war crimes; patient files and the history of psychiatry
Objectives (and/or specific learning outcomes)
Develop historical research skills through a focussed, but original piece of work. Methodological reflexion, scientific rigour and academic writing skills will help students prepare their individual research projet for their MA dissertation.
Teaching methods and learning activities
full immersion in archival research through team-work
References, bibliography, and recommended reading
a complete bibliography will be elaborated as an integral part of the research projet
