An introduction to cognitive science: neuroscience, philosophy of mind, neurocognitive psychology, artificial intelligence…
Objectives (and/or specific learning outcomes)
Explore some topics in neuroscience, philosophy of mind, cognitive psychology, artificial intelligence—some of the following topics may be considered: consciousness, memory, emotion, mind-brain problem, computer metaphor, connectionism… Equip the student with a broad conceptual map of the transdisciplinary field of cognitive science—a survey of its major areas of inquiry and central concepts, distinctions, methodologies and positions. Help the student (and the teacher) to solve the mystery of consciousness
