Course content
This course is envisaged as an introduction to the theoretical debates surrounding the concept of security and the building of a peculiar field of knowledge pertaining to security policies in international relations. The security policies of some states and international organisations as well are examined through the lenses of different theoretical school of thought.
Objectives (and/or specific learning outcomes)
Providing the students with an analytical toolbox for interpreting the security discourses, the conditions of their production, their vehicles and their performance.
Teaching methods and learning activities
Ex-cathedra course and homework based on a portfolio encompassing scientific articles and official documents.
