Course content
Social identity, its origins and consequences. Conditions that lead to peaceful or conflictal relations between groups and specifically between cultural groups. Socioeconomic and symbolic interdependence between cultural groups within nation-states. Collective memories. Acculturation processes from majority and miniruty perspectives.
Objectives (and/or specific learning outcomes)
The student will master a critical and multidisciplinary knowledge on intergroup and intercultural relations.

The course reviews theories and research on intergroup and intercultural relations. It is the founding course for the Master in Social and intercultural psychology.
