Course content
Besides general information on Spanish or Latin-American culture and history, the course provides an approach to the most significant literary works. These works are not only analyzed and contextualized, but also illustrated with representative excerpts (in Spanish). The exercise sessions allow students ensure their philological understanding of the excerpts that are explained. Students are also requested to read and prepare four or five «key books».
Objectives (and/or specific learning outcomes)
To give an overall view of Spanish or Latin-American literature, as well as knowledge and tools most relevant to their assessment.
