Course content

Introduction to methods of historical critique and analysis of written, iconographic and audio-visual sources. Familiarisation with library research and bibliographic and documentary methods, with particular attention to online resources: these methods will be tested through exercises. Introduction to writing a piece of research (writing "fiches de lecture", bibliographies, bibliographic references, reports and summaries).

Objectives (and/or specific learning outcomes)

To familiarize the students with the principles of historical critique, analysis of sources, bibliographic and documentary methods.

Teaching methods and learning activities

Lectures ex cathedra supported by PPT, also available on the Virtual University website, and exercises.
