Teaching methods and learning activities
The course is given in a mixed form, which combines lectures with the support of slides and student participation in the form of quizzes (Wooclap). One or several quizzes will be organized during each course. The quizzes will help identify the most problematic issues for students and explore those issues further. Depending on the degree of difficulty of the topic covered and the students' prior knowledge acquired in other courses, the lecture on the topic in question will follow or precede the quiz. No prior preparation is required to complete the quizzes that precede the lectures, with the understanding that students can use the Code and the syllabus. The attention of students is drawn to the limitations of the quizzes method : it constitutes a learning tool and not a test of mastery of the subject. In particular, it does not permit students to verify whether they have understood the rationale for the applied rule or whether they are able to clearly explain the solution to a third party. Attending classes is strongly recommended in this regard. Knowing the answers to all quizzes therefore does not necessarily equate to mastery of the subject.
Seminars will be organized during the first quadrimester.
The syllabus includes the course material and a selected bibliography. The slides will be available on the VU and quizzes will be available on Wooclap according to the instructions that will be communicated via Teams.
References, bibliography, and recommended reading
The students are requested to bring the Companies and Associations Code to the classes.
