Programme
Introduction
Second after the USA, Belgium has one of the highest concentrations of clinical research facilities in the world, and its clinical research institutions have earned a global reputation for their excellence and expertise. However, the bodies that carry out this kind of research, as well as the companies tasked with recruiting future specialists in the development of biomedical treatments, struggle to find enough applicants.
Forem, Bruxelles Formation and the ULB (University of Brussels) have established an unprecedented partnership to fulfil this need for qualified personnel. They are launching a 3-month training course, followed by a 3-month internship, that will provide the students with the essential skills needed to work in clinical research in general, and in critical roles in particular (regulatory affairs, data management, medical writing, etc).
The “CliniX: an ideal gateway to a wide range of clinical research professions” course covers the whole clinical development process for new medication, combining classroom-based learning with workshops on case studies, visits to companies operating in the health sector, and exercises focusing on recruitment in clinical research.
The course is delivered in English and in French. It is therefore necessary to be able to follow a course in both French and English.
All of the teaching staff are experts in their field, with established careers in the pharmaceutical industry or academia.
The course only runs once per year, so don’t miss this exciting opportunity!
