Course content
The course offers a practical workshop in editing mediaeval texts : presentation of ressources and basic principles of editing ; introduction to reading and analyzing mediaeval manuscripts ; critique of variants presented by the various manuscripts and elaboration of an editorial strategy ; linguistic and literary analysis of works.
Objectives (and/or specific learning outcomes)
Introduction to the different aspects of editing mediaeval texts based on a concrete example. At semester end, students edit short texts or extracts as a final project.

Ex cathedra lectures and group discussion.
