Lecture given in German illustrated by an analysis of texts. The course is supplemented by private reading at home.
Objectives (and/or specific learning outcomes)
Survey of the History of German Literature from the Middle Ages to the Romantics to the "Biedermeier" period to the beginning of the 20th century. Emphasis is put on the great literary movements and the main representative writers
