Course content

The course will cover the following topics:

  • CEO Mandate

  • Transforming the organization: Performance and health

  • Mobilizing Talent

  • Culture transformation

  • Leading change

  • Developing self-mastery

Objectives (and/or specific learning outcomes)

At the end of the course, the student will be able to:

  • Understand and apply concepts related to a leadership position in an organization (unit, department, company, group, etc.). Topics covered in the course include corporate culture, team dynamics, talent management, self-control, and more. The course focuses on the human aspects of business.

  • Reflect and act on their personal development. The student will have the opportunity to discover and analyse his behaviour as a leader of an organization.

  • Develop and communicate a personal opinion.

  • Prepare and present case studies.

  • Confront their opinion with CEOs.

Teaching methods and learning activities

The diversity of learning activities will allow the student to develop complex skills:

  • Lectures introducing the theoretical concepts related to organizational leadership.

  • CEO interventions.

  • Preparation, presentation and discussion of case studies.

  • Group projects including a final work integrating the different elements of the course.

  • Individual student participation throughout the course.

Students’ evaluation is based on:

  • Class participation of students throughout the course (individual assessment).

  • Group works including a final work (collective evaluation).

Mark calculation method (including weighting of intermediary marks)

Final grade is composed of:

  • Individual assessment based on classroom participation throughout the course (30%).

  • Collective evaluation based on different group works including a final work (70%).
