Course content
A different subject matter is discussed every academic year. The course focus on subjects that are part of recent important issues in the area of archaeological studies, such as Greek funerary rites, dedication offerings, uses and contexts of ancient pottery ....
Objectives (and/or specific learning outcomes)
The course will teach students how to deal with a complex subject matter and prepare them for their research work on the Master thesis.

Teaching methods and learning activities
The course is organized into 2 parts. In the 1st part, academic lectures present the main issues of the specific subject and provide students with the related bibliography. This part aims to prepare students for the essay they will have to submit both orally and writen. The second part of the course deals with the oral presentation of these essays and their evaluation. Critical discussions and questions will be part of the program. During the year, the professor is also keen to provide tutorial sessions to those interested in order to help them preparing the essays.
