Exercices to be performed during the course, simulating the assessment : spelling to dictation multiple choices about vocabulary items, morpho-syntax, spelling errors detection
Objectives (and/or specific learning outcomes)
To favor the autonomous work of the students if spelling achievement : lexical spelling, grammatical spelling, as well as in vocabulary understanding, and morpho-syntax control

Teaching methods and learning activities
The assistant prepares exercices that will be performed by the students; she also gave them the corrections of the exercices; all exercices are available on the web site ; recapitulative lessons about main spelling problems in French.

Method(s) of evaluation
- written examination
written examination
Optional dispensatory test in Januari + tests in 1st and 2nd session. The test includes:
- vocabulary questions (synonyms, antonyms, expressions)
- explanations of grammatical rules
- error detection (in a text or in sentences)
- dictation: 300 to 350 words
Mark calculation method (including weighting of intermediary marks)
A score out of 50 is assigned, which will be reduced to 20
This is made up as follows
Dictation: 20 points
Error detection: 15 points
Vocabulary: 5 points
Explanation of rules: 10 points
For dictation and error detection, one point is deducted for a customary spelling error and three points for a grammatical spelling error. Beyond 15 errors in total for these two sub-tests, an exclusion score of 4 is automatically assigned.
A minimum of 2.5 points out of 5 must be obtained on the vocabulary test for the remainder of the exam to be corrected.
