Course content
Study of different perspectives on the nature of language and language learning; analysis of the role of motivation; analysis and preparation of lessons; classroom management techniques; teacher roles.
Objectives (and/or specific learning outcomes)
Introduce students to the basic principles of language teaching; help them to evaluate the internal coherence and suitability for different learner populations of course books and other teaching materials; provide them with guidelines for lesson planning and preparation.
Teaching methods and learning activities
Lecture, discussion, and practical exercices.
