Course content
Introduction to scientific methods in psychology, with an emphasis on the experimental method. Introduction to cognitive psychology: history, visual perception, auditory and speech perception, attention and executive functions, memory architecture and processes.
Objectives (and/or specific learning outcomes)
Introduce students to the study of human cognition, its basic concepts, theories and research methods. Familiarise students with literature and experiments in the field of cognitive psychology and neuropsychology.

Teaching methods and learning activities
Theory: Ex-cathedra lectures. Practicals will offer illustrations of some topics of the course.

The slides of the lectures will be available on "Université Virtuelle". Selected references will also be provided for each chapter of the course.
