Cognitive impairments in neurodevelopmental disorders: genetic syndromes, autism, developmental amnesia, epilepsy, ADHD, ...
Objectives (and/or specific learning outcomes)
To be able to find recent scientific papers and to judge their theoretical and practical relevance for the understanding of the neurodevelopmental disorders as well as of the normal cognitive development.
Teaching methods and learning activities
Interactive seminar. After introductory lessons by the teacher, students in small groups choose and delimit a topic of interest, collect the bibliographic data and elaborate a critical synthesis. This synthesis is presented orally and discussed during the lecture. A written report is asked at the end of the seminar including the relevant bibliographic sources.
