Course content

The course is divided into three parts; each of them illustrated with numerous film excerpts. 1°) An approach to the cinematographic language; 2°) An History of Hispanic cinema, focussing on some «key» movies; 3°) Literary adaptation. Students are also requested to watch and prepare a review of about fifteen Spanish and Latin-American movies (assignments are to be written in Spanish).

Objectives (and/or specific learning outcomes)

To give an approach to some of the great directors of Hispanic cinema (Spanish or Latin American) as well as to the problematic of literary adaptation.

Ex cathedra course (in Spanish), with requested participation of the students. Evaluation: exercises and written test.
