Internship

Provide the student with a full-time twelve-weeks experience in the computer science career field by working with a participating employing firm, organization or academic research center. The student will be supervised by a faculty member acting as a liaison between the University and the employing organization to ensure compliance with specific learning and experience requirements. The employment can be either in Belgium or abroad, and normally would include practical experience.

Additional information

Important information: for practical issues, the internship has to take place during the summer between the MA1 and the MA2 academic years. Before the summer, the MA1 students should find an internship and submit the documents to the coordinator according to the guidelines mentioned on the UV page of the course. If the internship is accepted, it will take place during the summer.  Note that an MA2 student may include this course in the MA2 PAE  only if (s)he started already the internship during the summer. It is not possible to include this course in the MA2 PAE without having followed the procedure described before. 

The internship assessment will only take place in December (first semester of the MA2 year). No second session is possible.
 
The coordinators of the internship are (every two years) Pr. G. Bontempi and Pr. M. Jansen.
In the year 2023-24 the coordinator is Pr. G. Bontempi.
In the year 2024-25 the coordinator is Pr. M. Jansen.
