Topics cover a broad range of issues including analysis of specific public policies (e.g. subsidies to solar panels, tax reforms, social policies), survey of pricing policies for specific public policies, labor market policies,...).
Topics change every year.

At the end of the course, the students will be able to :

Develop a strong analytical basis to answer a policy question

Use the appropriate tools of economics to deal with a real issue

Use both theoritical and empirical state of the art on a specific policy question

A few theory lectures to attend + paper writing and public presentations
Contribution au profil d'enseignement
This course contributes to the development of the following skills (Economics) :

Use data mining and management techniques as well as financial modeling to develop decision, evaluation or management tools

Comprehensively assess potential solutions using economic, financial and other criteria as relevant to the situation at hand.

Solve complex problems arising in economic, financial and public policy contexts to transfer knowledge in realistic solutions to operationalize solutions.

Provide economic and financial recommendations and analyses at each stage of the process to keep stakeholders fully informed.
