Students will gain a strong awareness of the legislative frameworks and case law related to the risks associated with environmental impacts, urban planning, and construction projects. They will learn to navigate the complex interplay of legal requirements in these areas.
In addition to acquiring foundational legal knowledge, the course will foster students' analytical and critical thinking skills. This will enable them to assess and critique legal approaches to environmental, urban, and construction law from a risk management perspective.
A core focus of the course is on risk identification and mitigation. Students will learn to recognize legal risks inherent in these fields and, in the long term, develop strategies to reduce them through effective risk allocation.
Pré-requis et Co-requis
Connaissances et compétences pré-requises ou co-requises
Students are expected to understand that relying solely on an optimistic, best-case scenario is not an effective approach to managing legal risks, particularly in the areas of environmental law, urban law, and construction law. Instead, a thorough assessment of potential risks and uncertainties is essential for responsible legal risk management in project development.
No prior legal knowledge is required to enroll in this course.
Méthodes d'enseignement et activités d'apprentissages
A progressive, inductive approach will be emphasized. Real-world case studies will be utilized to introduce and explain the relevant legal rules and European developments in the field.
